Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how SynthAudio ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, protects, and handles your information, specifically focusing on Google and YouTube user data.

1. Information We Collect

When you use our services, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Your email address and basic profile information provided during registration.
  • Google & YouTube User Data: When you connect your YouTube channel, we request specific permissions (OAuth scopes). We collect and securely store your YouTube Channel Name, Channel Avatar, and an OAuth Refresh Token. We do not collect or have access to your Google password.
  • Usage Data: Music prompts, lyrics, and configuration settings you input to generate content.

2. How We Use Google User Data

We use your Google and YouTube user data strictly to provide and improve the user-facing features of our application. Specifically:

  • The youtube.readonly scope is used to fetch your channel name and avatar so you can identify which channel is connected inside our dashboard.
  • The youtube.upload scope is used exclusively to automatically publish the music videos you generate on SynthAudio directly to your linked YouTube channel, according to your custom schedule.

3. Google API Services Limited Use Disclosure

Important: SynthAudio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure

We respect your data. Regarding your Google and YouTube user data, we strictly adhere to the following principles:

  • No Third-Party Sharing: We do not transfer, share, or disclose your Google user information to third parties for purposes other than the ones provided (uploading your generated videos).
  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell your personal data or Google user data to third parties, data brokers, or information resellers.
  • No Targeted Advertising: We do not use Google user data for targeted, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
  • No AI Training on Your Data: We do not use your Google/YouTube data to train AI models. (Note: Only your anonymous text prompts are sent to external APIs to generate music. Your YouTube channel data or authentication tokens are never shared with these external AI providers).

5. Data Security and Protection

Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. All Google user data, including OAuth tokens, is securely stored using industry-standard encryption at rest and encryption in transit (HTTPS/SSL) via our database provider (Supabase). Access to this data is strictly limited to the automated backend processes required to upload your videos.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information and Google OAuth tokens only for the length of time needed to fulfill the services you requested.

  • Your Google OAuth token is retained as long as your channel remains connected to our platform.
  • If you disconnect your channel in our dashboard, the OAuth token is immediately and permanently deleted from our databases.
  • You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting our support team.

7. Revoking Access

If you no longer want SynthAudio to have access to your YouTube channel, you can delete the channel directly from the SynthAudio dashboard. Alternatively, you can easily revoke our access to your account at any time via your Google Account Security settings.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our API Client (SynthAudio) and website store, access, and collect information directly or indirectly on users' devices by placing, accessing, or recognizing cookies or similar technologies on users' devices or browsers. These are used strictly for secure authentication, session management, and ensuring the technical functionality of our platform.
